boating at pineview...

My friend Lyn (who i used to work with in vegas) invited me to go boating at pineview this morning/afternoon. It was a lot of fun. I hadn't been wakeboarding in 2 years so I was a little nervous, but it was just like riding a bike. I got up the first time. I'm not very good at coming back over the wake...i fell the first two times...the "experts" told me what i was doing wrong and after that it was a piece of cake. Here are some pictures of this adventure...

Having Good Times With Old Friends...

Every year our little group of college friends goes boating up in Oneida. This year the boat was dead so we decided to float the Oneida Narrows instead. These are the pictures from our little adventure...

Donut Falls

Last night Adria and I decided we needed to go hiking. We left at 8 am so it wouldn't be too hot. We hiked Donut Falls which is about 10 miles up Big Cottonwood Canyon. The trail is only 3/4 mile long and it is about a half hour hike. We made it into an hour and a half hike though. Something about taking a wrong trail...and then finding our way back. Who knows? It was definitely fun. Here are some pictures for all to enjoy...

The Summer Project...

So I volunteered for the job of painting Grandpa's house this summer...I even got to pick the colors. I didn't have much choice since the mortar between the bricks is this ugly mauve pink color. I kept the trim color the same but we traded the ugly pink for a more neutral cream/tan. Here are some pictures of before and after....I'm still not done so be patient. My dad has been helping me alot lately because I have been working so much in Salt Lake...and he loves to paint. He does the hardest parts...like the corners of the eaves and climbing up on the giant ladder to reach under the eaves. Thanks Daddy!

You can see the difference from where it hasn't been painted yet in the lower right side.

This one of the worst spots in the the whole house. The roof had to be redone above this. It leaked last winter.
Before.
After.
This is the only before/after picture I have so far.

Sunday Dinner with the Family

On Sunday we decide to celebrate Emily's upcoming birthday...she turned 23. The reason there are no pictures of mom, jer, misty and brook is because...mom refused to have her picture taken, jer and misty vanished right berfore dinner, and brook is loving life in california.
This is Gramps Peterson. He is 87...but he thinks he is 93.

This is my pops! I am such a daddy's girl. We finally got him to smile for this picture.

This is Will. My bro-in-law.

Emily. The birthday girl.

I think Will loves Emily.

My cat...he looks evil. That is why we nicknamed him S'norman the evil kidden.

Bubba. We got him for Emily's 8th birthday...he has become my mom's dog since he never leaves her side when she is home. He's a momma's boy.

These next pictures need some explaining...

When Emily and I were younger...and much skinnier...we would always climb up on the clothesline and hang upside down. We would even pull the trampoline over next to it and jump off of it. We thought it would be a good memory to hang upside down again....it wasn't as easy as we though it would be. But, we eventually made it.

We made Will participate.

Will decided Bubba wanted to try too.
I think he likes it...

Awww...Sisterly Love!

The yummy food. So I found out that I can make a mean homemade BBQ sauce...we did this one time before when we didn't have any. It actually is rather easy to do and I never make the same BBQ sauce twice...
